Hagerstown, MD — April 7, 2014 – Jamison RFID (a division of Jamison Door Company), the leading manufacturer and integrator of rugged, purpose-built RFID portals and communications enclosures, today announced the introduction of their new series of New Wave Antenna RFID Portals. Jamison RFID and New Wave Sensors will demonstrate an Asset Tracking and Management Solution running on Intermec’s IF2 Fixed RFID Reader integrated into the newly redesigned “ThinPortal”, an RFID Portal using the NewWave RFID Antenna at the upcoming RFID Journal LIVE! Event in the Intermec booth. The RFID Journal LIVE! Conference and exhibition will be held April 8-10, 2014 at The Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, FL.

The Jamison RFID New-Thin-Portal features an Intermec IF2 Fixed RFID Reader running on Power over Ethernet (PoE). In the New-Thin-Portal, the IF2 is coupled with two New-Wave antennas which can be used to create a powerful and unique RFID field of view. “The integration of a decade’s worth of RFID portal leadership from JamisonRFID and the cutting edge RFID antenna expertise of the New-Wave engineering team will provide a formidable value in RFID Portals” said Anthony Dublino, Director of Commercial Business for JamisonRFID.  The portal is developed and created by the Jamison Engineering Group in cooperation with New Wave.  “Our goal is to continue to lead the RFID Portal market, and add the unique performance capabilities of New Wave antennas to our entire line of RFID Portals expanding the variety of performance options we offer to our clients”, said Dublino.

The RFID New-Thin-Portal will be showcased at RFID Journal LIVE! as part of an asset tracking system that incorporates TrackX’s Asset Tracking software solution. For more information about RFID Journal LIVE!, please visit http://www.rfidjournalevents/live.
