Cooler Door Specifications:

Supply where indicated on plans Jamison Single Leaf All Steel Banana Room Door, complete with steel frame.

Door panel to be constructed of #12 gauge steel pans, front and back, welded together. Door leaf to be insulated with 3″ of fiberglass and provided with internal bracing for hardware attachment and structural integrity. Bottom stiffener of door to be beveled for quick drainage of condensation.

Door leaf to have 8″ diameter vision panel glazed with double strength clear glass to serve as emergency release in addition to standard back handle.

Frame to be constructed of 4″ x 6″ x 3/8″ steel angle. Sill to be constructed with heavy duty steel channel for trucking operation. Adjustable sealing bars (#14 gauge steel) to be provided on jambs of frame to achieve efficient, continuous seal. Door and frame to have corrosion resistant finish.

Gasket to be closed cell neoprene sponge. Gasket to be cemented to door in a continuous channel formed by the returned edge of the front panel and the back panel of the door for minimum abuse and maximum compression value. Sill gasket to be sweep type.

Hardware to consist of steel strap hinges and multi-point fastener complete with inside release handle. Wedge-action fastener to exert compression simultaneously on top, bottom and sides without shock to protect instrumentation. Hinges to be 3″ wide steel straps with grease fitted hinge pins in cast iron butts. All hardware to have corrosion protected finish.
